Business Model
Ambrosia Energy sells continuous renewable power under two models:
-
1
Customer on Our Land
Ambrosia Energy builds, owns, and operates the plant on our land in West Texas; you co-locate and buy power directly. Predictable fixed pricing, no grid dependency. Ambrosia Energy is capitalized to acquire more land wherever you need it.
-
2
Built on Customer Land
Ambrosia Energy designs, builds, owns, and operates the plant on your site; you buy power directly. Ideal for data centers and industrial operations. Works alongside existing gas-powered sites, reducing emissions without disrupting current infrastructure.
Off-grid by default. Grid-tied on request.
What Differentiates Us
Vertically Integrated
Ambrosia Energy develops, manufactures, and operates solar + battery projects end-to-end, and sells you the electricity. Drawing on our experience from Swarm and SpaceX, we control the full value chain: land acquisition, permitting, engineering, battery manufacturing, installation, construction, operations, and power sales. This full-stack approach eliminates middlemen, reduces costs, and shortens timelines, enabling us to compete effectively on both price and speed.
Our battery systems are significantly more affordable, delivering reliable 24-hour storage with 99.9% uptime while keeping electricity rates competitive. Solar and battery deployment is also faster thanks to our design-for-installation approach.
Built for Speed and Cost
These innovations make our builds faster and lower-cost:
Power Plant Design
No concrete. No heavy equipment. No major road upgrades required. Everything ships in standard containers on flatbed trucks and is placed within hours.
Solar Installation Method
A proprietary install method that is 12× faster than conventional approaches — the same panels, deployed in a fraction of the time.
Battery Storage System
24-hour Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery storage, designed for low-voltage, modular, and simple installation. Optimized for low cost development and installation.
How We Compare
| Energy Type | Ambrosia Energy | Conventional Solar + 4hr Battery | Natural Gas |
|---|---|---|---|
| Project Development Time | <1 yr | 2–3 yrs | 3–5 yrs |
| Capacity Factor | 99.9% (with 24hr storage) | 20–35% | 50–90% |
| Renewable | 100% | 100% | 0% (fuel required) |
| Noise Level | Silent | Silent | Loud (even with enclosures) |
| Maintenance Requirements | Minimal | Minimal | High (regular servicing, parts) |
Building Power Plants
for America
Ambrosia Energy has an operational pilot project with 100% uptime over 30 days in West Texas, where we own land for future power plants. We move with urgency because the problem demands it.
Our next project targets 200 MW solar nameplate → 20 MW continuous power. Each successive project scales by an order of magnitude toward our Gigawatt-scale ambition.
Texas Land Acquired
Land secured in Texas for the pilot and a pipeline of future projects.
Pilot Built & Operating
Solar + battery pilot project constructed and generating reliable continuous power.
Next Project: 200 MW
200 MW solar nameplate → 20 MW continuous power. Customer secured and fully funded. Execution underway 2026–2027.
Gigawatt Scale
Long-term ambition: gigawatts of sustainable power and storage nationwide.
Built by Operators
Our team built and deployed hardware at satellite constellation scale before turning to the energy bottleneck. We bring aerospace-grade execution discipline to Ambrosia Energy.
Ben Longmier
At SpaceX, he helped start and co-led Starlink Mobile, contributing to the design and deployment of 660 satellites, while developing an argon Hall Effect Thruster now flying on over 7,000 satellites. He co-founded Swarm Technologies, which was acquired by SpaceX in 2021. Former NASA postdoc and University of Michigan professor who has co-founded, scaled, and sold 3 aerospace startups, including to Apple and SpaceX.
LinkedIn ↗Sara Spangelo
At SpaceX, she helped start and co-led Starlink Mobile, helping secure over $1B in recurring telco partnerships. She co-founded and was CEO of Swarm Technologies, which launched hundreds of satellites for IoT connectivity and was acquired by SpaceX in 2021. PhD from the University of Michigan, former systems engineer at JPL and GoogleX, and top 32 Canadian astronaut candidate.
LinkedIn ↗Our first engineering hires come directly from Swarm Technologies and SpaceX — teammates who have already built and shipped hardware at scale, and who bring that same execution culture to Ambrosia Energy.
